Who Can Become a Volunteer?

If you live in the Armagh or Tyrone area, have transport and are available during some part of the day or night to respond to someone in your community that needs help then you can become a volunteer.

Do I need a medical background?

No. All training, retraining and equipment will be provided by CFRAT.

How do I become a Volunteer?

Once you fill out the Volunteer Application Form you will be contacted by CFRAT to discuss your application. Once your references have been checked and your application from AccessNI has been approved you will be offered a date for the next available training day. Once you have completed training you will be furnished with an CFRAT emergency backpack.
Congratulations, you are now a Community First Responder!
When an emergency situation arises, you will be contact to respond.

What to Expect on an Emergency Call Out

CFRAT currently respond to the following life-threatening situations:
Diabetes
Stroke
Heart attack
Asthma
